1-year-old boy dies after choking on food at daycare facility
Police in Sapporo said that a one-year-old boy died in hospital early Friday after choking on food at a daycare facility on Christmas Eve.
According to police, the boy’s mother prepared chicken rice for his lunch. While the head of the daycare center was f...eeding him and two other children, the boy started choking, TBS reported.
The boy, identified as Reito Fujita, went into a state of cardiopulmonary arrest. He was taken to hospital but died on Friday morning, police said.
The daycare center is not certified and police are investigating to see whether the staff were negligent.
